Spare the Air

About the Widget:

Winter Season: The widget will indicate when wood burning is allowed in the Bay Area and when a Winter Spare the Alert is in effect that makes the use of fireplaces, wood stoves, pellet stoves or other wood-burning devices illegal. The widget also provides links to the Spare the Air website.

Summer Season: The widget will indicate when a "Spare the Air Alert" is in effect.

Note: The status indicated here affects wood burning fireplaces and stoves and not necessarily residential controlled burning. District residents wishing to conduct controlled burning must still call the phone number indicated on their burn permit to check the daily burning status.
