Dixon Thanks the Collections Division

Along with the City Engineer/Public Works Director, we would like to take a moment to express gratitude regarding the Collections Division’s efforts to maintain the collection system. Since Spring of 2012, when the Collections Staff began maintaining the system and it was no longer under Wastewater Treatment Facility Operations purview, the City has experienced ONLY ONE Sanitary Sewer Overflow (SSO). Additionally, City staff has documented 26 Private Lateral Sewer Discharges (PLSDs) during that same period. Pictured are Barrett, Hector, Lonnie and Tony in the back of the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) truck, the gentlemen who conducti regular and preventative maintenance of the system, and respond to a PLSD event. They wanted to include some of the footage captured by the CCTV camera but we thought it best not to indulge in case you were scrolling Facebook at the dinner table.

WELL DONE GENTLEMEN!!! Keep up the amazing work Collections staff.
