City Announces New Round of Small Business Support Program Funding

The City of Dixon is now accepting applications for the second round of its COVID-19 Small Business Support Program. Local businesses impacted by COVID-19 can qualify for up to $70,000. The Program represents an additional way in which the City seeks to assist those small businesses affected by COVID-19 that are so much a part of our community. 

Funded by the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), the Program will provide financial assistance in the form of forgivable loans to eligible Dixon for-profit businesses significantly impacted by the pandemic. The Program goal is the retention of existing jobs.  

Eligible businesses must meet the following criteria: 

  • Must be an operating for-profit businesses located and licensed in the City of Dixon 
  • Must have a payroll of fewer than 25 full time equivalents (FTE’s) as of July 1, 2021
  • May not have access to an active line of credit 
  • Must not have any active tax liens 
  • Must have a DUNS number 
  • Must be able to provide evidence of all required operating permits and licensing   

Eligible employers will be able to apply for up to $10,000 for each job that they retain, up to a maximum of seven jobs. If the employee is retained at the same or higher rate of pay for a minimum of 120 days, the loan will be forgiven. Loans will be approved contingent upon the City receiving committed funds from the California Department of Housing and Community Development.
