City of Dixon Launches New Mobile App

The City of Dixon has launched a new mobile app, “City of Dixon”, available for free in the Apple Store and Google Play Store.

Through a single, public-facing app, residents and business owners have access to all of the services, resources, and information the City has to offer. The goal of the app is to increase efficiency and accuracy in public interactions and improve customer service by offering additional online access.

“The City of Dixon mobile app is an exciting new way for the City to connect with the public and provide additional transparency,” said Mayor Steve Bird “The new app goes beyond reporting issues, it provides a way for City staff to interact with the public and provide real-time updates.”

This initial launch of the app allows the public to:

  • Report an issue such as sidewalk damage, illegal dumping, or a street light that isn’t working
  • View a calendar feed populated with events and meetings, which residents can add to their device's native calendar
  • Pinpoint event locations, parks, and other facilities
  • View a searchable directory of elected and appointed officials through directories
  • Access key public safety services such as burn permits, alarm permits and police report requests
  • Sign up for push notifications to stay up-to-date on news, events, or other important information
  • Receive up-to-the-minute local announcements, such as office closings or storm alerts

The City’s “FixinDixon” app is no longer active. FixinDixon is now available in the new City of Dixon app. The new app allows residents to report quality of life issues and request select city services, similar to the old FixinDixon app. Residents can provide city staff with photos, videos and specific descriptions of the problem by clicking the “FixinDixon” icon.
