Dixon Police Department Press Release

On March 29, 2023, at 2:30 PM, officers from the Dixon Police Department, in collaboration with the Solano County Sheriff's tactical team, executed a search and arrest warrant in the 1300 block of North Lincoln Street in relation to an investigation into suspected elder abuse. After several attempts over multiple days to safely arrest the suspect, who barricaded himself in a relative's apartment, the suspect, John Bordenkircher (42) of Dixon, was apprehended with the assistance of the Solano County Sheriff's tactical team.

Bordenkircher was arrested and booked into the Solano County Jail for multiple charges, including 368(b)(1) PC - Causing Great Bodily Injury to an Elder (felony), 243(d) PC - Battery with Serious Bodily Injury (felony), 166(a)(4) PC - Violating a Court order (misdemeanor), 1203.2(a) PC - Violation of Probation (misdemeanor), and 148(a)(1) PC – Resisting Arrest.

The Dixon Police Department urges the public to report any suspected cases of elder abuse to law enforcement. It is important to note elder abuse is a crime that often goes unreported, and it is the responsibility of the entire community to ensure the safety and well-being of our senior citizens.
