Lifeguarding

The City of Dixon employs aquatics staff through the March – October season to lifeguard for programs that include: lap/recreational swim, swim team practice, and private pool rentals. Upward mobility is available; we coach and train staff to achieve high proficiency in lifeguarding skills. The skills learned from lifeguarding (problem-solving, communication, teamwork, leadership) are invaluable and transferrable to other jobs and fields of study.

We typically offer lifeguard certification courses in March and April in preparation for the summer season. However, we are always seeking qualified, certified lifeguards to join our team! Please check back in February for more information on certification courses.
