Mission

Welcome to the City of Dixon's Recreation Division. Our mission is to help improve the livelihood of Dixon residents by providing leisure activities and opportunities to all segments of the population.

From parks and recreation facilities to programs and services, we are here to provide the best leisure opportunities available.

Senior Services

Year round our department offers senior services at the Senior / Multi-Use Center. The center is open Monday through Friday and provides classes, social gatherings, day trips, and numerous workshops throughout the year.

There are opportunities to get involved and participate in the Senior Club or to just come and enjoy lunch. For more information on our senior services please contact us at (707) 678-7022.

Sports Programs

The department runs a host of youth and adult sports programs and provides facilities for nonprofit sports leagues. Youth programs include basketball and arena soccer. The City is supportive of nonprofit sports leagues by providing facilities at little to no cost. This allows the leagues to offer some of the lowest registration fees in the area.

These are just a sampling of our many programs and services. We encourage you to get involved and let us know if there is something you would like to see the department offer. Participation is also welcome at the Parks and Recreation Commission meetings, held the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm in the City Council Chambers.
